Shipping / Delivery
–Can Duncan deliver my material to the job site?
Duncan does not provide transportation services but can recommend outside trucking firms if requested.
–Do you have equipment to unload the material from a truck?
Yes, Duncan has a fleet of forklifts and handling equipment to ensure safe unloading of customer products.
–What does the driver do when they arrive?
Upon arrival, a driver should be directed to our scale in the center of the yard when clear, and proceed to wait for a mechanically audible indication that the weight has been taken.
Next, he or she should find a safe place to park, unstrap and wait for a lift operator to unload.
During this time, it is advisable to proceed to the customer service window under the awning on the left side of the yellow “house” and exchange paperwork for the order being delivered.
The Driver will be provided a tag to tie to the material and after unloading should visit the scale again to be weighed outbound.
–Do I need to make an appointment?
Appointments are not necessary. However, if you would like a “driver will wait” delivery, we advise that you call our shipping department to see if there are available slots.

Duncan Galvanizing was founded in 1890 as J. Duncan Company, a galvanizer of patented switches and monorail systems. Since its inception, the company has grown to become the recognized leader in providing quality coatings for steel.
